Sonee Hardware announces winner of the 40th Anniversary logo design competition

Assistant General Manager (Sonee Hardware), Mr. Hassan Hameez presented the cash prize of MRF 20,000.00 to Ahmed Infas, winner of the competition with a certificate at a ceremony held at the Sonee Hardware’s head office on Sunday, 30 May 2010.

During his remarks, Assistant General Manager, Hassan Hameez said, “that we are extremely happy to highlight the excellent participation of our customers and the public in general. The logos submitted had creative tastes from all across the nation, making the contest really competitive at the selection stage. We welcome Ahmed Infas for his contribution and believe that this opportunity will inspire him all the way in his career. In the meantime thank you very much for all those who participated and played a key role in making this event a success”.

About 1,500 logos from all over the Maldives were submitted to this competition.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank SONEE HARDWARE and I am truly honored to be selected, wasn’t expecting to win the contest though I am really grateful for this achievement.” Said Ahmed Infas, winner of the competition.

The competition attracted massive interest from the public, which was opened to the general public, individuals, creative agencies, private companies, schools, educational institutions.

In 2006, a similar competition was held to mark Sonee Hardware’s 35th anniversary & an MRF 15,000.00 cash prize was awarded for the winning logo designer.
